Clinical+ Skincare — Available at Our Scottsdale Clinic
Most skincare lines make a lot of promises. Clinical+ is one of the few that earns them. It’s a medical-grade skincare brand formulated with professional-strength actives — the kind you won’t find on a drugstore shelf, because the concentrations and stability requirements demand clinical oversight. At Desert Bloom, we carry the Clinical+ line because Dr. Borakowski evaluates every product we stock against the same standard: does the science hold up, and will it genuinely serve our patients’ skin?
Clinical+ products are available in our Scottsdale clinic. We don’t sell online — and that’s intentional. The right product depends on your skin, your goals, and often your current treatment plan. That conversation is worth having in person.
What “Clinical-Grade” Actually Means
Here’s the honest answer to a question we hear often: the difference between a clinical-grade formulation and a standard over-the-counter product is not marketing language. It’s active ingredient concentration, delivery system stability, and the absence of fillers that dilute efficacy. A $15 vitamin C serum and a professional-strength vitamin C serum can contain the same ingredient — what differs is whether that ingredient is formulated to survive shelf time, penetrate the skin barrier, and reach the depth where it can actually do something.
Clinical+ products are built around this standard. Every formula is designed to address underlying skin function — not to temporarily improve how skin looks under a photo filter. In the desert climate of Scottsdale, where UV exposure and dry air work against the skin barrier daily, that distinction matters more than most places.
The Clinical+ ACE Technology
Clinical+ developed its foundational formulation philosophy around what the brand calls ACE Technology — a three-part system of active components that work in concert rather than independently.
Antioxidant Enzyme: Acts as a protective layer against oxidative stress — the cumulative cellular damage from sun exposure, pollution, and metabolic processes. Antioxidant protection is not just about preventing “aging” in the abstract; it’s about preserving the integrity of skin cells so that repair can happen.
Vitamin C: One of the most researched topical ingredients in dermatology, vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) supports collagen synthesis and neutralizes free radicals. In Clinical+ formulations, it’s paired with complementary antioxidants to improve stability — a known challenge with vitamin C products.
Essential Ceramides: The skin barrier is largely composed of ceramides — lipid molecules that hold skin cells together and prevent transepidermal water loss. In our dry Arizona climate, ceramide depletion is a genuine and common problem. Supplementing ceramides topically supports barrier repair and moisture retention at the structural level.
Products We Carry at Desert Bloom
Below is our current Clinical+ inventory. Every product is available in clinic — and if you’re unsure which ones belong in your routine, our aesthetician Sadie Luna-Kearns and Dr. Borakowski can walk you through a skin assessment and make personalized recommendations.
Cleanser
Gentle Cream Cleanser
A low-pH cream cleanser formulated with calming aloe vera, cucumber extract, and hyaluronic acid. It removes makeup and impurities without stripping the skin’s natural moisture barrier — an important distinction for anyone using active serums or who has recently had a laser treatment. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive.
- Best for: Sensitive skin, post-procedure skin
- Targets: Dehydration, barrier disruption
- Result: Skin feels soft, balanced, not tight

Serums
Retinol Firming Serum
A vitamin A serum designed to accelerate cellular turnover and stimulate collagen production. Retinol remains one of the most evidence-backed topical actives for reducing visible fine lines and improving skin texture over time. Clinical+ formulates this at a concentration that delivers results while minimizing the irritation associated with lower-quality retinol products.
- Best for: Aging concerns, skin that wants more definition
- Targets: Fine lines, uneven texture
- Result: Firmer, more refined skin over 4–8 weeks

Vitamin C Brightening Serum
A stabilized vitamin C formulation that works against free radical damage and supports collagen synthesis. It addresses uneven tone and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — common concerns after acne or sun damage. The antioxidant pairing in this formula improves both absorption and stability compared to pure ascorbic acid products. Works especially well as a daytime serum layered under SPF. Pairs naturally with CO2 laser resurfacing and erbium laser treatment for post-procedure brightening support.
- Best for: Dull skin, post-sun damage, uneven tone
- Targets: Dark spots, oxidative dullness
- Result: More luminous, even-toned skin

Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum
Hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water — which makes it the most effective topical humectant available. This serum draws moisture into the skin and supports the skin barrier’s ability to retain it. In Arizona’s low-humidity climate, this isn’t a luxury; it’s maintenance. Use it morning and evening before moisturizer for sustained hydration without heaviness.
- Best for: All skin types, including oily
- Targets: Dehydration, fine lines from moisture loss
- Result: Plumper, suppler skin that holds moisture longer

Peptide Firming Serum
Peptides are short amino acid chains that signal the skin to produce more collagen and elastin — essentially communicating with the dermis rather than sitting on top of it. This serum is formulated with a concentrated peptide complex to restore elasticity and support structural integrity. It’s one of the products we recommend most often as a complement to in-office treatments like RF microneedling, where maximizing the collagen-stimulation window at home makes a measurable difference.
- Best for: All skin types wanting structural support
- Targets: Loss of elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles
- Result: Firmer, more resilient skin with improved bounce

Moisturizers
Multi Lipid Moisturizer
A daily moisturizer built around the lipid profile of a healthy skin barrier — ceramides, fatty acids, and hyaluronic acid in a lightweight, non-comedogenic base. It’s formulated to replenish what the desert climate continuously depletes: moisture and barrier lipids. Light enough for daily AM use, substantial enough to provide all-day protection. Works for all skin types, including combination and acne-prone.
- Best for: All skin types, daily use
- Targets: Chronic dehydration, barrier compromise
- Result: Sustained moisture, non-greasy radiance

Retinol + AOX Renewal Cream
An overnight treatment that combines retinol with antioxidant support to address cellular renewal while you sleep. The retinol drives cell turnover; the antioxidant complex protects new cells as they surface. This pairing addresses two common concerns simultaneously — visible fine lines and dullness from accumulated photodamage. It’s an evening-use product designed to be the final step of a nighttime routine.
- Best for: Aging skin, uneven texture and tone
- Targets: Photodamage, fine lines, dullness
- Result: Smoother, more even skin tone by morning

How We Help You Choose
The most common mistake in professional skincare isn’t buying the wrong product — it’s building the wrong layering order, or applying an active that conflicts with another one you’re already using. Our licensed aesthetician Sadie Luna-Kearns conducts in-depth skin assessments and can walk you through a protocol that makes sense for your specific skin type, concerns, and any in-office treatments you’re planning or have recently had.
If you’re in an active treatment phase — post-laser, mid-series of RF microneedling, or using biostimulators — Dr. Borakowski will often make specific product recommendations as part of your treatment plan. Home care directly affects how well your skin heals and responds. That’s not a sales pitch; it’s how the biology works.
We’re not here to sell you a 10-step routine. Most of our patients leave with two or three products that work together for their skin. Knowledge first, then the product.
Frequently asked questions
Is Clinical+ skincare available to buy online?
No. Clinical+ products at Desert Bloom are available exclusively in our Scottsdale clinic. We don’t offer online sales because the right product genuinely depends on your skin — and that conversation is worth having in person with our aesthetician or Dr. Borakowski. What makes Clinical+ different from products at a drugstore or Sephora?
Clinical-grade skincare differs from retail products in active ingredient concentration, formulation stability, and delivery system quality. Clinical+ products are formulated to penetrate the skin barrier at therapeutic concentrations — the level required to produce clinically measurable changes in skin texture, tone, and hydration. Many over-the-counter serums contain the same ingredients at a fraction of the concentration needed to be effective. Can I use Clinical+ products after a laser treatment?
Yes — and we often recommend it. The Gentle Cream Cleanser and Multi Lipid Moisturizer are ideal for post-procedure skin due to their barrier-supportive formulations. The Vitamin C Brightening Serum can be reintroduced once your skin has recovered (typically 5–7 days post-treatment, depending on the procedure). Dr. Borakowski or Sadie will give you a specific post-treatment protocol at your appointment. How do I know which Clinical+ product is right for my skin?
The most reliable way is a skin assessment in clinic. Our aesthetician Sadie Luna-Kearns evaluates your skin type, current routine, and goals before making a recommendation. If you’re already a patient at Desert Bloom, product recommendations are often part of your treatment plan.Does Desert Bloom offer skincare consultations?
Yes. You can schedule a skincare consultation with Sadie Luna-Kearns, our licensed aesthetician, to discuss your skin concerns, current routine, and goals. During the consultation, she may recommend Clinical+ products, suggest in-office treatments, or do both. Call us at (480) 567-8180 or visit our contact page to book. What is ACE Technology in Clinical+ products?
ACE Technology is Clinical+’s formulation framework built around three core active systems: Antioxidant Enzymes (which protect against oxidative stress and free radical damage), Vitamin C (which supports collagen synthesis and addresses pigmentation), and Essential Ceramides (which reinforce the skin barrier and retain moisture). These three systems are designed to work together in the same routine, addressing protection, repair, and hydration simultaneously.Visit Our Scottsdale Skincare Boutique
