A Facial Is a Protocol — Not a Menu Item

Hydration, resurfacing, clarifying, targeted — chosen for your skin that week.

A facial at Desert Bloom is a protocol — a sequence of cleansing, exfoliation, active delivery, and finishing steps — chosen for your skin type, barrier condition, and what the Arizona climate is doing to your skin that week. Below is the full catalog, grouped by what each protocol is designed to do.

If a specific concern is driving your visit — pigmentation, scarring, sensitivity, redness — the better starting point is Treatments by Concern, which routes across facials, lasers, and injectables. This page is the method-side catalog of facial sessions and what each one is built to do.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose between HydraFacial, Organic Signature, and the other hydrating protocols?
The right starting point depends on your skin's current state — barrier stress, hydration level, sensitivity, and what your home routine has been doing. The in-clinic assessment is brief but specific: your aesthetician will recommend the protocol that matches what your skin needs that visit, rather than what you pre-selected from a menu.
What is a Custom Chemical Peel — versus an at-home glycolic peel?
A Custom Chemical Peel is selected during your visit: peel strength, acid blend (lactic / glycolic / mandelic / TCA-based), pH, and dwell time are tuned to your skin condition at that visit. At-home glycolic peels use lower acid concentrations with longer dwell times. Practitioner-applied peels reach deeper layers safely under supervision.
Is microneedling a facial?
Yes — at Desert Bloom, microneedling is included in the facial menu as a collagen-induction protocol with serums. It is more refining than a hydrating facial and less aggressive than laser resurfacing. RF microneedling (Virtue RF) is a separate laser-category treatment, performed by Dr. Borakowski.
Are facials safe during pregnancy?
Most hydrating and gentle facials are safe during pregnancy. Avoid: chemical peels with retinoids, salicylic acid, or hydroquinone; high-intensity microneedling; oxygen treatments with active serums containing retinoids. Let your aesthetician know you are pregnant or breastfeeding before booking — the protocol will be modified to pregnancy-safe ingredients.
How often should I get a facial?
Most clients schedule every 4–6 weeks for maintenance — aligned with the skin's natural cell-turnover cycle. Acne protocols may need weekly to bi-weekly sessions during active flare-ups, then monthly maintenance. Microneedling and chemical peel series are spaced 4 weeks apart.
How much do facials cost in Scottsdale?
Pricing ranges from $95 for express add-ons through $475 for advanced protocols. Most signature facials sit in the $175–$295 range. See the facials section of the price list for current per-protocol pricing.

Not Sure Which Facial Fits Your Skin?

Facial consultation at Desert Bloom Scottsdale

A complimentary consultation at Desert Bloom starts with an in-clinic skin assessment — products, intensity, and the right facial group are recommended based on what your skin actually needs, not on a pre-set menu.

If you'd rather start a consultation about a deeper concern (texture, pigmentation, lift), it's the same booking page — Dr. Borakowski reviews the assessment and routes accordingly.

“I had a facial from Lhealie, and it was Heaven. Dr. Borakowski did my lips and laser and I feel and look amazing. I will be going back for all my skin needs. This is also a family business and I LOVE seeing families come together and make other lives better. Thanks Brian, Lheslie and Dr. Borakowski. Happy Holiday.”

“I'm thrilled with the exceptional care I received at Desert Bloom Skin Care where the professionals truly prioritize their clients' well-being. Both my 15-year-old daughter and I had outstanding experiences, and she's already looking forward to her next teen facial.”
Melissa Vila Gonzales
“I’m at that age where I’m noticing changes to my skin. I was rough on my skin throughout life. I worked outside a lot and, unfortunately, I neglected my skin with my busy lifestyle. Now I’m paying for it with sagginess, wrinkles, discoloration, etc…and frankly, I started disliking the mirror. Dr. Natalya has been awesome. She’s helping my skin be bouncy and youthful again. And what I really appreciate, setting her apart from other places I’ve been, is that she is SO knowledgeable in gentle natural therapies that stimulate the body in its own healing and slowing of the aging process. When I look in the mirror now, my skin looks healthy, radiant, and youthful. Thank you, Dr. Natalya!”
