Resurfacing, pigment correction, vascular clearance, and hair reduction — calibrated to your skin type by Dr. Natalya Borakowski.
Find Your Treatment
Most medspas in Scottsdale own one laser and send every patient through it. Desert Bloom runs a full laser program — the Rohrer Phoenix for CO2 cool-peel resurfacing, the Quanta EVO platform for Erbium, Alexandrite 755nm, Nd:YAG 1064nm, and KTP 532nm, plus the Virtue RF device for radiofrequency microneedling. Dr. Natalya Borakowski, NMD personally selects the wavelength for your skin type, your concern, and your recovery budget.
Aggressive laser is easy. Right-sized laser is harder — and it is what actually delivers the result without the setback. Desert Bloom’s program is built around cool-peel and series protocols rather than full single-session ablation, with safety calibrated for all six Fitzpatrick skin types.
Adjacent treatment categories: dermal fillers for volume, neurotoxins for expression lines, PDO threads for non-surgical lift. Concern routing: acne scars, rosacea, age spots, redness.
Scope. Eight laser and energy treatments across resurfacing, pigment, vascular clearance, hair reduction, and tightening. Pricing $30 per laser hair removal session → $675 for Erbium Deep or Elluminate Glow. Cool-peel only; no full traditional ablative CO2 offered.
Provider & candidacy. Dr. Natalya Borakowski, NMD performs every laser procedure personally — including RF microneedling. Four device platforms: Rohrer Phoenix (CO2), Quanta EVO (Erbium / Alexandrite / Nd:YAG / KTP), Virtue RF. All Fitzpatrick types served when the wavelength matches the skin tone — Nd:YAG 1064nm and Virtue RF are safe across IV–VI; Alexandrite 755nm and CO2 are reserved for I–III.
Downtime & how to start. Range from zero (Vein and Redness, Photo Facial, Elluminate Mini, Laser Hair Removal) to 1–2 days for CO2 Cool Peel and 5–7 days for Erbium Deep. Every plan starts with an in-person consultation — Dr. Borakowski calibrates wavelength, depth, and series length to your skin and goals before any device touches your face.
Laser skin treatments use specific wavelengths of light to reach a defined layer of skin without damaging surrounding tissue. The wavelength determines what the light is absorbed by — water in the outer layer for resurfacing, melanin for pigment and hair, hemoglobin for blood vessels. That selectivity is why one clinic can treat sun damage, deep wrinkles, acne scarring, spider veins, and unwanted hair with the same category of technology. What changes is the device, the wavelength, and the setting — not the underlying principle.
The choice between devices is therefore not “which laser is best,” but “which wavelength matches your concern and your skin tone.” That decision is made in the consultation room, not from a menu.

The full set of laser and energy treatments offered at Desert Bloom, grouped by what they do. Every card links to a dedicated page with complete protocol, pricing, and recovery detail.
Removes precisely controlled layers of skin to trigger deep collagen renewal. Cool-peel and low-power series only — not full traditional CO2, which Dr. Borakowski considers overly aggressive for most patients. Fitzpatrick I–III only.
Targeted wavelengths absorbed by melanin in sun spots, age spots, and brown discoloration — corrects color without breaking the skin’s surface.
Lasers absorbed by hemoglobin in blood vessels — clearing visible veins, capillaries, and persistent facial redness. Two complementary wavelengths chosen by concern.
Laser energy targets melanin inside hair follicles. The right wavelength is dictated by skin tone — not by the clinic’s convenience.
Every laser treatment on this page falls into one of two categories based on whether it breaks the skin surface. The distinction matters for downtime, candidacy, and what each tool can realistically change.
Removes precisely controlled outer layers of skin to force the deeper layers to rebuild with new collagen. Desert Bloom uses the Rohrer Phoenix for CO2 protocols and the Quanta EVO Erbium for erbium resurfacing — both as cool-peel or low-power series rather than traditional single-session full ablation.
Pass through the skin surface and treat a specific target below — melanin, hemoglobin, or hair-follicle pigment — without removing tissue. Devices: Quanta EVO Alexandrite 755nm, Nd:YAG 1064nm, KTP 532nm, plus the Virtue RF radiofrequency microneedling system for tightening.
Use this map if you know the result you want but are not sure which laser produces it. Concerns are mapped to the specific wavelength and device that handles them at Desert Bloom.
CO2 Cool Peel, CO2 Laser Resurfacing, Erbium Resurfacing, Elluminate Glow.
GoalPhoto Facial (Alexandrite 755nm) for Fitz I–III; Elluminate Mini for an even-tone refresh on all skin types.
GoalVein and Redness Removal — KTP 532nm for spider veins, Nd:YAG 1064nm for rosacea-related redness.
GoalLaser Hair Removal — Alexandrite for lighter skin, Nd:YAG for darker tones. Two wavelengths on one platform.
GoalRF Microneedling on the Virtue RF device, performed by Dr. Borakowski. For laxity, large pores, mild texture.
Specific skin conditions map to specific lasers — not every concern belongs on every device.
Lasers are powerful, and the wrong laser on the wrong skin type can cause pigment change, scarring, or infection. Below is what governs candidacy at Desert Bloom — and what we tell patients lasers cannot deliver.
Isotretinoin (Accutane). 12-month washout required before any ablative CO2 or Erbium — the drug impairs wound healing.
Active cold sores (HSV) in the treatment area. Antiviral prophylaxis with Valacyclovir 500mg twice daily for 10 days, starting the day before treatment.
Active infection, open wound, or inflammatory acne flare in the treatment zone — treatment deferred until resolved.
Melasma. Heat-based lasers can worsen melasma — Dr. Borakowski will recommend a non-laser alternative such as a PRX facial or topical protocol.
Pregnancy or active breastfeeding. Elective laser is deferred.
Lasers treat skin. They do not lift sagging tissue, replace lost volume, or stop muscle-driven wrinkles.
Any clinic promising 40–50% wrinkle reduction from a single session is over-claiming. Laser resurfacing is a series — visible change builds over weeks, and collagen renewal continues for 4–6 months after the last treatment.
Most Desert Bloom patients combine laser with injectables or microneedling. The order matters:
RF microneedling goes first to tighten, then CO2 resurfaces the surface several weeks later.
Wait at least 2 weeks between treatments. Laser heat can diffuse recent neurotoxin.
Not combined at Desert Bloom. PRP is used in other protocols, not layered onto ablative CO2.
Separate by 2 weeks minimum. RF microneedling specifically goes before filler injection to avoid melting product.
Dr. Natalya Borakowski, NMD has been practicing aesthetic medicine for more than twenty years. She personally performs every laser procedure at Desert Bloom — from RF microneedling with the Virtue RF device to CO2 resurfacing with the Rohrer Phoenix. Her clinical philosophy is anatomy-first: the wavelength, the depth, and the setting are selected for your specific skin type and concern, not prescribed from a menu.
The clinic operates as a clinical aesthetic practice, not a medspa. The difference shows up in laser work most clearly — Desert Bloom does not own one device that “treats everything.” It runs four platforms because four wavelengths cannot be replaced by one.

“Aggressive laser is easy. Right-sized laser is harder, and it is what actually gives patients the result they are looking for without the setback. I would rather do three gentler sessions than one that leaves you recovering for a month.”
Every skin type responds differently to laser energy. During a consultation at our Scottsdale office, Dr. Borakowski evaluates your skin, reviews your history, and recommends the specific laser and setting that fit your goals, your recovery budget, and your Fitzpatrick type.
