How pdo thread lift works

A PDO thread lift uses absorbable biostimulator threads — most commonly PDO (poly-dioxanone), PCL (poly-caprolactone), or PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) — to mechanically lift mid-face, jowl, or neck soft tissue and trigger collagen remodeling along the thread track. Mechanical lift is immediate but subtle; the bigger payoff is the structural collagen response that matures over 3-6 months. Dr. Borakowski picks thread material and count based on tissue density, redundancy, and the patient's downtime tolerance.

FAQ

About these results

How were these pdo thread lift photos taken?
All photos were taken in our Scottsdale office under consistent lighting, angle, and distance. No filters or skin-smoothing edits were applied. Time intervals from baseline are noted in each caption.
How long does pdo thread lift take to show results?
Most patients see initial change immediately or within 1–2 weeks. Final results — including any collagen-mediated improvement — typically continue to develop over 8–12 weeks. We re-photograph at follow-up so progress is documented, not assumed.
Who is a good candidate?
Candidacy is decided at consultation, not online. Dr. Borakowski screens for skin type, anatomy, medication history, and realistic goals. Some patients are told no — that's part of an honest plan.
Will my results look like the photos in this gallery?
Individual results vary. The patients shown here represent a range of anatomies, ages, and starting points. Your own outcome depends on tissue quality, baseline anatomy, treatment dose, and how your body responds. We set expectations conservatively at consultation.
Are these patients employees or paid for these photos?
No. Every photo on this page is a real Desert Bloom patient who consented to share their results. We do not pay for testimonials or stage photos.
