FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which injectable family do I actually need?
Depends on what you want to change. Movement (lines that show when you make expressions) — neurotoxins. Volume (flat cheeks, weak chin, lip shape) — fillers or biostimulators. Skin quality (dehydration, dullness, fine lines at rest) — skin boosters. Balance across the whole face — facial balancing. We map this at consultation, not online.
Will I look fake?
No, if dosing and product choice match your anatomy. Dr. Borakowski's conservative approach prioritizes refinement over change. "Done" results come from over-correction, not from the products themselves.
Are injections safe?
All FDA-approved products carry a known safety profile when used as intended by a licensed physician. The biggest risk factor is provider experience, not product. Dr. Borakowski has practiced injectables for over a decade.
Can I combine different injectables?
Often yes — neurotoxin and filler are commonly sequenced together. Biostimulators usually stand alone or layered with HA. Sequencing matters; we map it at consultation.
Why no Juvederm?
We use Restylane and RHA exclusively, plus SkinVive (which is technically Juvederm-line). Restylane has a longer track record for the contour and lift work we do most often.

What our patients say

“I had the best experience with Dessert Bloom Skincare! I had a lip augmentation almost 3 years ago now and my lips still look amazing! Dr Natalya and her husband are super kind and welcoming!”
Brianna Benson
“I was introduced to Desert Bloom from a friend. I have had fillers done by plastic surgeons, and frankly, Desert Bloom did a superior job to my previous Drs. She takes her time, is an artist and I would recommend Desert Bloom to everyone.”
Beth Shalit
“So happy with my laser treatments provided by Emily. She is helping me with a scar on my forehead, and the laser is helping it! I had a MOHS procedure this summer leaving a very large scar above my eyebrow and Emily has been so kind and reassuring. The laser procedure was not painful at all. Emily communicated very well and I was well taken care of. I plan on seeing her for some Botox too. I’d definitely reccomend Desert Bloom to any of my friends.”

All injectables are not the same

Neurotoxin is different from filler is different from biostimulator. A 30-minute consultation sorts which injectable category — or none — fits the concern you came in to address.
