Patient Case Studies
A patient case study is a documented record of one treatment at Desert Bloom Skin Care in Scottsdale: the patient’s age and main concern, Dr. Natalya Borakowski’s clinical reasoning, the treatment plan, photos over time and what the treatment could not do. Every case is published with the patient’s written consent.
How is a case study different from a before and after photo?
A before and after photo shows two images. A case study also shows the consultation, the reason Dr. Borakowski chose that treatment, the other options she considered, the timeline of the result and the limits of the treatment. A single photo cannot tell you whether a result still looks the same at six months. A case study can.
How are the case studies documented?
Consent and privacy
Every case is published with the patient’s written consent. Names are never shown. Each case gives the age, background and clinical details that matter, and a patient can ask for their case to be removed at any time.
Consistent photos
Photos are taken with the same lighting, camera distance and angles before and after, with no retouching or filters. Where the lighting differs, the case study says so.
Results over time
Threads, biostimulators and other collagen treatments change over months, so each case shows the timeline, not only the best moment.
Clinical reasoning
Each case explains why Dr. Borakowski chose the treatment and technique, which alternatives she considered and what was discussed at the consultation.
Individual results vary. Results depend on anatomy, skin quality, age, lifestyle and aftercare. A case study is a documented example, not a promise of the same result.
A case study is not a marketing tool. It is a record of what happened in the consultation room and what happened over the months that followed. If we cannot publish the full picture, we should not publish anything.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a case study and a before and after photo?
A before and after photo shows two images. A case study documents the patient profile, the clinical reasoning, the treatment plan, the timeline of results and the limits of the treatment, so you can see the context behind the photos.
Are these real Desert Bloom patients?
Yes. Every case study is a real patient treated at Desert Bloom Skin Care in Scottsdale, published with written consent. Names are not shown; each case gives the age, background and clinical details that matter.
Why are the current case studies about thread lifts?
The thread lift cases were the first to be fully documented and reviewed by Dr. Borakowski. Case studies for other treatments will be added once they are documented in the same way.
Will my results look like the cases shown?
Individual results vary. Results depend on anatomy, skin quality, age, lifestyle and aftercare. The case studies are documented examples, not promises, and Dr. Borakowski explains the results you can expect for your face at your consultation.
Can I share my own results?
If you are a Desert Bloom patient and would like your treatment featured, ask Dr. Borakowski at your next visit. A featured case needs your written consent and consistent photos taken across your treatment timeline.
Does Dr. Borakowski ever advise against treatment?
Yes. If your anatomy, skin quality or goals would be better served by surgery, by a different treatment or by no treatment at all, Dr. Borakowski will tell you at the consultation.
Would a thread lift or another treatment suit you? Book a consultation and Dr. Borakowski will explain your options and what results to expect.
